Santiago Cascante Nogales is Enel’s Head of the Innovation Department for the I&N Global Business Line. His job is to develop Open Innovation Models with the internal and external entrepreneurs ecosystem. When he first joined the company he led the Innovation Corporate Model Project Change in the HV Distribution Business in Spain and Latin America. This role involved developing cooperation models with National Research Centres, strategic partnerships and funding bodies, as well as managing the Innovation Project development portfolio. Later he became head of e-mobility new business models and demonstration projects. He had gained significant professional experience in the international energy sector, prior to joining Enel. He collaborated with large companies such as Siemens and Schneider Electric and worked on international projects in the field of smart grid technology, in addition to managing the development of new business models. He was born in Barcelona 1976. He has an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Project Management from Universtitat Ramon Llull-Barcelona, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University. He also has extensive experience as a speaker and lecturer at a number of business schools.
