In the car market, electrical cars are showing a trend strongly on the increase, especially in cities and large towns in the western world, where the topic of eco-sustainability is particularly felt. To be able to advance with the development and consolidation of this sector, it is important to use battery recharge systems that are functional and distributed throughout the urban area.
Enel was one of the first players to create ad hoc stations, in particular in Rome and Milan, and has always taken care to develop instruments for optimising stations that recharge electrical cars.
Ares2T is the platform that suggests the best route to electrical vehicle users, taking into account residual charge, available recharging stations and traffic.
Ares2T aims to optimize electrical vehicle recharge methods in various aspects, starting with the user’s real needs and availability of the various refuelling stations updated in real time.
Application & Benefits
Ares2T is developing a solution that puts together the electrical control units and the electricity distribution generators, to allow modulation of vehicle charging according to different inputs (charging status of vehicle and stations).
Together with Enel, Ares2T is working to improve the software solution, starting with its usability. This is to allow customer-oriented use of the various solutions: the aim is to create an eco-system that integrates photovoltaic energy, in order to obtain benefits for clients, in terms of consumption reduction and greater management efficiency.
The Ares2T team has collaborated with Enel Distribuzione for the Mobincity project, in which a software has been developed to learn about machines that charge electrical vehicles.
Also, the Ares2T team has collaborated with Enel Distribuzione n the INCENSe accelerator, in which a software has been developed to learn about machines that charge electrical vehicles.
The goals for future projects:
- development of new models designed for B2B clients;
- Ares2T is working to implement new features for the Enel Recharging infrastructure and to create new synergies with vehicle-to-grid solutions.
